Yesterday we took Bailey with us to Home Depot. As usual people gawk at his size. Many ask what breed he is. Although he's not a huge Leonberger, he's still a big dog at 128 pounds and around 32 inches tall. Bailey turned one years old on July 12, 2009.
A husband and wife asked if their daughter could pet Bailey. When we said yes of course, the wife was delighted.
There was Bailey lying on the cement floor and this three and half year old girl sitting next to him. It was so cute. She hugged and petted Bailey and he loved the attention.
The wife asked me many questions about the breed and decided after we talked that she had to have one. Her mother had raised Saint Bernards so she was used being around big dogs.
Before they left Bailey got attention from the wife and husband. He loved that too.
